The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
