and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 These men do say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. 42
