The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
