Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
