Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and the recompense shall surely happen. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
