The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
