The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
