Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 God is the most exalted King and the Supreme Truth. He is the only God and the Lord of the Gracious Throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
