Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
