WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 in crowds, both on the right and on the left? 37 Coveteth every man of them, that he shall enter the Garden of Delight? 38 By no means! verily We! We have created them from that which they know. 39 No! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and Wests, surely We are able 40 Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). 41 Wherefore let thou them alone plunging in vanity and sporting until they meet their Day which they are promised. 42 The day on which they shall come forth from their graves in haste, as if they were hastening on to a goal, 43 Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with. 44
