The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in a fully laden Ark, 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
