Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 We glorify God." 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
