Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
