Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches." 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
