Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
