Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya Sin. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 On a path that is straight, -- 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 Lo! We have put on their necks carcans reaching unto the chins, so that they are made stiff-necked. 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
