Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!" And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 The righteously striving believers will have a never-ending reward". 8
