In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
