The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
