Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
