The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
