No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
