The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the night when it covers 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames: 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
