28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say: 'It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said, "We have indeed heard a Koran wonderful, 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 Some men used to seek refuge with the jinn in the past, but that only increased their insolence. 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 And some of us are the righteous, and some of us are otherwise; we are sects differing. 11 We knew that we could never challenge God whether we stayed on earth or fled elsewhere. 12 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice. 13 Some of us have come to submission, and some of us are iniquitous.'" Those who have submitted have taken the right course; 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 Had they (jinn and mankind) remained steadfast in their religion (Islam), We would certainly have given them abundant water to drink 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
