Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 who know all that you do: 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
