Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
