The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
