The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and its heat and brightness, 1 And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); 2 and by the day when it displays him 3 And by oath of the night when it hides it 4 and by the sky and by Him Who made it; 5 And by the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 By the soul and Him Who propertioned it, 7 And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, 8 He is indeed successful who causeth it to grow, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Thamood belied in their pride 11 What time the greatest wretch of them rose up. 12 So the Noble Messenger of Allah said to them, “Stay away from the she camel of Allah, and from its turn to drink.” 13 Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)! 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
