Al-Mu' minoon 4 of 6
“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
