Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 There is a party of My servants who said, "Our Lord, we believe; therefore forgive us, and have mercy on us, for Thou art the best of the merciful." 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
