T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
