Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 You and whatever you worship 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
