۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel. 59 Had We wanted, We could have made the angels as your successors on the earth. 60 He is a sign of the Hour. Have no doubt about it. But follow me. This is a straight path; 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path: 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Are they looking for anything except the Hour (to overtake them). It will come upon them suddenly when they are unaware! 66 Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path. 67
