The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
