And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
