(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
