The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
