The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It will engulf them. 8 in towering columns. 9
