T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
