Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
