The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
