THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
