Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
