Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
