The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And the day when it shines in brightness, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 O men, you truly strive towards the most diverse ends! 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 And rejects the best, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes. 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. 20 And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
