The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed be He who has revealed the criterion [the Quran] to His servant that he may warn the nations. 1 He to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth: Who has begotten no son: Who has no partner in His Sovereignty: Who created each and every thing and then ordained its destiny. 2 And people have appointed other Gods besides Him, those who do not create anything but are themselves created, and those who do not have the power to harm or benefit themselves, and who do not have any authority over death or life nor over resurrection. 3 And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie. 4 And they say: fables of the ancients which he hath had written down, so they are dictated unto him, morning and evening. 5 Say: "He who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth has revealed it to me; and He is surely forgiving and kind." 6 And they said, “What is the matter with this (Noble) Messenger, that he eats food and walks in the markets? Why was not an angel sent down along with him, to give warning along with him?” 7 Or a treasure should have been sent down to him, or he should have had a garden from which to eat." The wrongdoers say, "You are surely following a man who is bewitched." 8 Just see what strange arguments they bring forward with regard to you! They have gone so far astray that they cannot charge any thing against you. 9
