And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
