The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
