And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
