Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
