Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
